"If you come back I’m gonna f*cking smoke you dude," adding, "I’m gonna smash that f*cking camera."
The man, dressed in a black hoodie and donning a face mask, kept walking towards Shirley and shouting "get the f*ck out of here" as Shirley backed away saying, "I didn’t do anything" and "get away from me."
As the man continued to walk towards Shirley telling him to leave, the journalist said, "You’re pushing me onto the road. Let me move, let me get out if you’re gonna let me get out." the man replied, "F*cking walk."
Shirley started to walk away, asking why the man was "so mad." The man replied, "If you come back, I’m gonna f*cking smoke you dude," adding, "I’m gonna smash that f*cking camera."
As the man began to complain about Shirley filming, a light on a nearby rooftop appeared, followed by a green laser that quickly centered on the man’s chest. "I have the right to be here, I have the right to film. You have DHS watching you right there, lasered on you. You have a sniper lasered on you right now."
Another person approached the man and told him to "be careful."
The incident comes as President Donald Trump has announced that troops will be sent to Portland to assist in defending ICE facilities in the city. Trump wrote, "At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists. I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
Oregon has sued over the matter, claiming that Trump’s invocation of Title 10 to authorize guard members for federal duties is unconstitutional. Governor Tina Kotek said, Trump’s move was “an abuse of power and a disservice to our communities and our service members.”
