The group previously held a press conference with antisemitic lawmakers Reps Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Cori Bush (D-MO) demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.
The group was only formed recently, following the Hamas massacre of over 1,200 Israelis on October 7.
Earlier this month, members of the group held a press conference with antisemitic lawmakers, including progressive "Squad" members Reps Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Cori Bush (D-MO), demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.
The group announced on social media a "call to action" at the Holocaust Museum and the White House on December 28 and even encouraged their members to get free tickets to go inside the museum.
“Ceasefire” activists routinely vandalize the facilities they target, and climate activists, who regularly team up with anti-Israel activists, are known to vandalize museums.
Jewish and pro-Israel pundits on social media slammed the planned event.
StopAntisemitism called the event "sickening," adding, "Hamas has one goal - to murder Jews. For this physicians’ group to desecrate the Holocaust museum with their calls of a ceasefire (ie - for the Jewish nation to stop defending itself) is stomach churning.”
Following the immense backlash, the group posted a statement on Tuesday canceling the event, claiming there were “…misconceptions surrounding our Holocaust Museum event which has been misrepresented as an [sic] anti-Semetic gathering.”
The group claimed the protest was intended to "express our empathy" for victims of the Holocaust and "bring awareness" to the violence in Gaza, adding that they stand against hate "in all forms," including "antisemitism, anti-Palestinianism, anti-Black hate, anti-White hate, or any other prejudice."
Radio host and Post Millennial editor Ari Hoffman wrote on X, “Their explanation makes it worse: the goal of their event was Holocaust Inversion, which fits into the US State Department's Definition of Antisemitism.”
