Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), has filed to run for re-election only two months after winning her most recent election.

According to documents filed Thursday with the Federal Election Commission, the "Squad" member will run for re-election in New York’s Democratic-favored 14th Congressional District, which she has previously won by wide margins.

In the November mid-term election, the Democratic Socialist firebrand coasted to re-election beating Republican Tina Forte 70.6 percent to 27.5 percent.

Ocasio-Cortez first won her seat in 2018 by defeating Democratic incumbent Joseph Crowley in the district's Democratic primary then proceeding to win the district's general election.

A magnet for controversy, AOC was blasted by critics earlier this week after she tweeted on Tuesday: "Did you know that ongoing exposure to NO2 from gas stoves is linked to reduced cognitive performance."

Republicans and conservatives pounced to "save the stoves." Many called out Democrat hypocrisy including Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), who tweeted a photo of first lady Jill Biden cooking on a gas stove. Others called out the congresswoman for her own gas stove usage.

Texas Republican Representative Ronny Jackson said that the "maniacs in the White House" would have to pry the appliance from his "cold dead hands."
