Super Bowl LX's halftime show will be performed by Bad Bunny. The singer made the announcement on social media.
However, the performer, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, told reporters previously, "People from the US could come here to see the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans of the United States could also travel here, or to any part of the world. But there was the issue that ... ICE could be outside (my concert venue). And it's something that we were talking about and very concerned about."
The performer also endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. He added in the interview that there were "many reasons" he was not going to the US for the tour, but none of them were "out of hate."
"I've performed there many times. I've enjoyed connecting with Latinos who have been living in the United States," he added.
However, for the Super Bowl, that doesn't seem to be a concern for the musician. The 60th edition of the Super Bowl will take place on February 8, 2026, next year, with the location at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The stadium is the home of the San Francisco 49ers.
Since getting elected, President Donald Trump has been implementing a strong border agenda and has been cracking down on illegal immigration in the US, starting with those who are the "worst of the worst," or illegal immigrants in the US who have been involved in crime.
