Carson lauded Trump for having “the courage to take on the political establishment” despite the risks.
“As I stand here today, I want to offer my most confident and full endorsement of Donald J. Trump,” said Carson, who ran for president in 2016 and later served in Trump’s administration, said to a roaring round of applause.
Carson referenced Benjamin Franklin, who according to Carson once said that the US is a Republic "if you can keep it."
“The way we can keep it is we can put Donald J. Trump back in office,” he declared.
“And as I stand here today, I'm going to offer my most full and confident endorsement of Donald J Trump,” Carson said to roars of applause.
Carson lauded Trump for having “the courage to take on the political establishment” despite all the personal and financial risks that often come with such a hefty task, reports The Hill.
“Donald Trump lost millions, if not billions of dollars. And he’s been attacked constantly and demonized, and yet, he’s still there. They haven’t gotten rid of him. They’re trying to do everything in their power to get rid of [him]. Because he’s the biggest threat to the administrative state and to the swamp,” Carson said.
He also shared praises along with an endorsement for Trump on X.
“Our nation is in desperate need of strong leadership. A President who fights for the American people, our freedoms, our safety, and our future. Donald J. Trump is that leader and I am proud to give him my full endorsement for President of the United States today. Join me in this fight to Make America Great Again!” Carson wrote.
