Biden also slammed Trump as a “loser.”
This latest blunder occurred during a speech in South Carolina, which resulted in further questions surrounding the Democrat president's cognitive health and whether or not he is mentally fit to hold another term.
Biden had attempted to take aim at his top political rival's criticism on the US economy under his administration and said: "The American consumers are facing real confidence in the economy we're building. Let me tell you who else is noticing that- Donald Trump."
President Biden then began to have a "deer-in-headlights" moment and started to fumble his words.
"Did you see what he recently said about- he want's to, he wants to see the economy crash this year? The sitting President!," declared Biden, according to the Daily Mail.
The President also claimed that Trump "knows" the US economy is "good and strong, and getting stronger."
"He knows that while it's good for America, it's bad for him politically," said Biden.
Furthermore, Biden then slammed Trump as a "loser."
Dean Phillips, the Democratic presidential candidate running against Biden, criticized the president mere hours after he delivered his perplexing speech.
Phillips stated, according to the outlet, that Biden's "physical and communication decline" is "self-evident" and that these issues have arisen in regards to re-election concerns surrounding the president's age.
"He's a human being. But he’s an 81-year-old man," said the congressman.
Further, Phillips said that he maintains "respect" for Biden, but he has made it abundantly clear throughout his presidential campaign that Biden is not wanted by the American people.
