The Biden-Harris administration is responding to its border crisis with just two weeks remaining before the presidential election by feverishly working to hide illegal immigrants from public view, Customs and Border Protection agents are saying.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has told Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to swiftly process its backlog of deportations while it has tasked border patrol agents to fly and bus illegal immigrants from San Diego to border towns in Arizona and Texas where they won’t be noticed so easily, according to the New York Post.

San Diego County Border Patrol Supervisor Jim Desmond told the Post that the orders are a “blatant attempt” by the Biden-Harris administration “to protect their image before the election.” He said every week “numerous buses” are being sent to Yuma, AZ, and “three to four planes” are en route to McAllen, TX.

He sounded the alarm about the policy on X, writing: “This isn’t about securing the border for the Feds — it’s about optics.”

While the Biden-Harris administration has been claiming that illegal border crossings are falling while it attempts to stem the flood of illegal immigrants, the San Diego sector has retained its high volume of illegal immigrants as they cling to a directive that states border agents should release migrants from over 100 countries that don’t welcome deportation flights.

CPB at the San Diego border crossing had 1,200 illegal immigrants in custody in a single day last week. They were kept in migrant holding facilities that were meant to accommodate 1,000 people, DHS sources told the Post, who added that the facility has experienced 150 percent capacity.

Facilities in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley are just 19 percent full after Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) enforced the law and blocked illegal crossers there. In Yuma, AZ, holding facilities are at 51 percent capacity, according to DHS sources.

The sources said that the moves have been ongoing for months but the tempo has increased recently. They said more illegal immigrants are also being released into the country. But the administration doesn’t want them to be released in San Diego because there is no room left in the city to house them.

“They don’t want street releases because it will look negative on Kamala Harris. All San Diego NGOs are at full capacity and cannot take any more,” a source told the Post.

Although Vice President Harris has tried to distance herself from the open border policies of President Joe Biden, during the last four years, deportation of illegal immigrants dropped by 74 percent while reports of sex trafficking of migrant children have tripled according to federal Health and Human Service Department records. CBP has warned that many children coming over the border are being subject to exploitation.
