Earlier this month, discussing recent anti-Israel protests around the country, talk show host Bill Maher slammed progressives and academics alike for attacking Israel as an "outpost of Western civilization, like it's a bad thing" and explained how Western ideals are what gave the world the "liberal precepts that liberals are supposed to endure."

On the HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher listed off "Individual liberties, scientific inquiry, rule of law, religious freedom, women's rights, human rights, democracy, trial by jury, freedom of speech. He joked, "Please somebody stopped us before we enlightened again."

He brought it back to Israel by noting, "One can find all these concepts in today's Israel and virtually nowhere else in the Middle East." Maher added, "If anything the world would be a better place if it had more Israels."

"Of course, this message falls on deaf ears. To the current crop who reduce everything to being only victims or victimizers, so it's really as lumped in as the toxic fruit of the victimizing West," He criticized. "The irony is that all marginalized people live better today because of Western ideals, not in spite of them."

Calling out the woke, Maher said that it's "never about ideas." He asked, "If it was would they be cheering on Hamas for their liberation, liberation to do what? More freely preside over a country where there are no laws against sexual harassment, spousal rape, domestic violence, homophobia, honor killings, or child marriage?"

Since the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7, pro-Hamas organizations have been holding demonstrations in cities around the world in support of the organization. They call Israel colonizers of the region and chant support for Hamas' goal of cleansing the world of Jews.

The TV show host noted that the Jewish people didn't seize Israel "like India, or Kenya was by the British Empire." He noted, "The partitioning of the region wasn't decided by Jews but by a vote of the United Nations in 1947, with everyone from Russia to Haiti voting for it."

On Friday, a pro-Hamas rally in New York City became violent with agitators vandalizing monuments, tearing down American flags, and attempting to bash in the doors of the glorious Grand Central Station, all while pretending to call for peace.

Last week, the White House announced a "National Strategy to Combat Islamophobia" as a national priority.
