President Donald Trump was celebrated on social media after he confronted South African President Cyril Ramaphosa over the persecution of Afrikaners in the country, even having the lights turned down at one point to show video footage of officials chanting "kill the Boer" and thousands of grave sites.

Lawyer Viva Frei wrote, "Trump is an absolute boss. Condemning the murder of White South African farmers right in the face of the president of South Africa. Boss move."

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk wrote, "Trump holds South Africa president accountable," later adding, "God bless President Trump. He’s a president who is actually the LEADER of the Free World."

Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec spoke on the meeting in the Wednesday edition of his show, telling viewers, "Thank God Almighty that someone is finally speaking up about the abject horrors and the white genocide that is going on and being perpetuated in South Africa right now."

He later wrote, "The public mogging of the President of South Africa would never have happened under any other individual. Only Donald Trump could do this."

Author Raw Egg Nationalist wrote, "Imagine even trying to predict a week, let alone a month, ago that Trump would corner South Africa's president in the Oval Office, in front of the world's press, and make him watch videos of South African politicians calling for white genocide. Insane."

"Crushing," wrote Dinesh D’Souza. "This is not only painful for the South African President but also for our mainstream media that desperately wants to cover up black-on-white violence in South Africa."

Attorney Marina Medvin wrote, "Incitement to violence against whites isn’t an offense in South Africa. Why?"

Popular conservative account "johnny maga" wrote, "The South African President brought White golfers with him to try to prove there’s no systemic persecution of Whites in South Africa. Golfer Retief Goosen then tells Trump that his dads farmer friends have been killed and farms are constantly being burned."

The move by Trump was widely celebrated across social media, with users calling it "amazing." Others noted and applauded his move to play footage directly to Ramaphosa.

"Forcing the South African President to watch politicians in South Africa call for white genocide is incredible diplomacy," wrote Heritage Foundation Media Fellow Tom Young. "Other administrations would’ve just had a standard meeting and press conference… Trump is actually trying to save lives."

Political commentator Benny Johnson noted that Elon Musk, who was born in South Africa, was present in the room for the meeting and was "staring straight into the soul of South Africa’s president."

"Yesterday, Elon torched the country’s racist laws and exposed that he's unable to operate Starlink there for one reason: he's not black," he added.
