Chicago police have arrested and charged four illegal immigrants with battery by strangulation and robbery of a man on the Pink rail line. The extent of injuries to the 49-year-old victim is still unclear.
According to a Chicago Police news release, the four were identified as Fernando Loyo-Rodriguez, 22, Wilker Gutierrez Sierra, 21, Carlos Carreno-Carreno, 20, and 18-year-old Yonnier Guasamucare Garcia. The four live at an illegal immigrant shelter at 300 block of South Plymouth, according to CWB Chicago.
The four illegal immigrants allegedly robbed and strangled the 49-year-old male while they got close to Kostner station in the afternoon on Saturday.
Officers came in and arrested the suspects at Pulaski station about 45 minutes after the incident at 5:28 p.m. local time.
According to the news outlet, more information about allegations against the four will be revealed at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on Monday afternoon.
