Supporters of President Donald Trump lined the streets in Newport Beach, California ahead of the 45th president's exclusive fundraiser event at Harbor Island on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the crowd lined up to greet Trump's motorcade as he was driving past to get to the location. Since the conviction in the NYC trial, Trump's campaign has reportedly raised over $400 million, and the fundraiser in California will be adding to that on Saturday.

Video of the crowds gathering on the streets went viral online.

Hundreds could be seen gathering to send off the motorcade as it went to the island just before 1 pm local time.

Many in the crowd cheered, saying, “Donald! Donald!” as the black SUVs crossed an intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Jamboree Road near the fundraiser.

Supporters also gathered on their boats to show support for Trump as he came to Newport. Many chanted "USA, USA" as he approached.

American, Gadsden, and Trump flags were flown by the crowd as they showed support for the 45th president.

People flew banners that said, "Trump 2024," as well as others that read, "Never Surrender!" and "We stand united with Trump."

A local resident spoke to reporters at the event.

“I wish people would let go of the hate they have for him and do what’s best for the country,” Andrea Flores, 49, said about Trump. “There’s only two candidates right now — one that can’t walk and talk and one that they hate—you have to pick your poison.”

Flores said that the economy and the border are top of mind for her as a Republican in the country, agreeing with many who have said similarly on polls having to do with issues facing the United States under the Biden administration.

The Saturday fundraiser is the conclusion of a three-day fundraising trip for Trump as he has gone around the country since his conviction in New York.
