Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced help for the education sector today as part of their ongoing coronavirus crisis response.

"Many parents are concerned about their kids being out of school. But their education must continue. That means having the tools for online learning. We're purchasing iPads with free wireless data for families that need it," Ford said.

Ford also said that more essential workers will be able to access emergency child-care.

The Ontario premier said that there are no plans as of yet for the reopening of schools but that decision will be made based on facts and science: "We don't want to put our kids in jeopardy."
