"We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network."
He allegedly incited a brawl with a 69-year-old truck driver that left Sanchez and the other man in the hospital. Sanchez was stabbed in the altercation. "We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network. There will be no further comment at this time," a Fox spokesperson told reporters, per the Daily Mail. Sanchez had been in Indianapolis to work the Colts game against the Las Vegas Raider for Fox Sports. He was hit with a felony battery as well as other misdemeanor charges.
A month after the incident that took place on October 4, Sanches has called his final game for the network as a sports analyst and commentator. Hours after the violent incident took place last month, Sanchez was arrested at the hospital, where he was recovering from the stab wound that nearly killed him.
He allegedly attacked the 69-year-old delivery driver, Perry Tole, prompting the man to stab Sanchez in self-defense. The charges against Sanchez carry several years with them if he is convicted. After leaving the hospital, and before he went home to southern California, Sanchez had to pose for a mugshot.

The sports commentator and ex-quarterback is also being sued by the alleged victim in the case. Fox is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit. Sanchez has not called a game since the incident took place. In his absence, Brady Quinn and Mark Schlereth have filled his slot, per TMZ.
Fox Sports also announced that Drew Brees would be coming on as an NFL analyst on Friday. However, it is unclear if the new recruitment has anything to do with the network letting go of Sanchez.
