Hunter Biden’s business associate Devon Archer has been subpoenaed to be deposed by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability on Friday. Archer also played a role in the Biden family's overseas business dealings in China, Russia and Ukraine. Joe Biden has repeatedly denied any knowledge of his son’s business arrangements.

“The Committee is investigating foreign nationals’ attempts to target and coerce high-ranking U.S. officials’ family members by providing money or other benefits in exchange for certain actions,” the letter from Chairman James Comer reads. “The Committee is considering legislative solutions to this problem. The Committee has identified Mr. Archer as possessing information relevant to its investigation and seeks your client’s testimony regarding these and other related topics.”

“Both information that the Committee has reviewed and public reporting indicates that Mr. Archer played a significant role in the Biden family’s business deals abroad, including but not limited to China, Russia, and Ukraine. Additionally, while undertaking these ventures with the Biden family, [Mr. Archer] met with then-Vice President Biden on multiple occasions, including in the White House.

“Mr. Archer’s testimony is critical to the Committee’s investigation. Mr. Archer was Hunter Biden’s business partner in a number of transactions involving foreign nationals and foreign companies. Mr. Archer is associated with corporate entities that the Committee has identified and the Biden family’s role in each of them. Furthermore, he has significant information regarding the purpose of these companies and knowledge of relevant documents related to the Committee’s investigation,” Comer said to Archer’s attorney Matthew Schwartz.

The letter further states that “The Committee is investigating the national security implications of a Vice President’s or President’s (and candidates for such offices) immediate family members receiving millions of dollars from foreign nationals, foreign companies, or foreign governments without any oversight. Current financial disclosure laws and regulations do not require non-dependent family members of senior elected officials to provide any information to the public. The Committee is seeking meaningful reforms to government ethics and disclosure laws that will provide necessary transparency into a Vice President’s or President’s immediate family members’ income, assets, and financial relationships.”

Comer and the House GOP have been investigating the Biden family over allegations of a $5 million bribery scandal in which Joe Biden took money from Ukraine to affect US foreign policy, including insisting on the firing of a top prosecutor who was looking into energy giant Burisma. Hunter Biden sat on Burisma’s board, with a board fee in excess of $80,000 per month, until shortly after the end of Biden’s VP term.

Archer was on the board of Burisma as well and served at the same time as Hunter Biden. Joe Biden was in charge of Ukraine policy under the Obama administration and was in a position to insist that the top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, be fired or US funds would be withheld. Biden bragged about threatening to withhold those funds until such time as Shokin was fired, and then he was.

Comer has been looking into financial records that show the movement of large sums of money from foreign businesses to Biden associates to Biden family members.

Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene recently reviewed a memo from a paid FBI informant in which the CEO of Burisa said it would take a decade before anyone became aware of the various shenanigans being pulled between the Bidens and Burisma.
