A Michigan appeals court has ruled that the name of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. should be removed from presidential ballots in that state. This comes after Kennedy suspended his presidential campaign and endorsed Donald Trump. He has since petitioned to have his name removed from ballots in 10, key, battleground states including Michigan.

A lower court in Michigan had said that Kennedy's name should not be removed, but the appeals court determined that Democrat Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson "had no basis to deny [Kennedy's] request to withdraw his name from the ballot," the Detroit Free Press reports.

The appeals court further determined that the law Benson used to justify her refusal to remove Kennedy's name from the ballot "only to candidates for state office, not to presidential candidates such as Kennedy."

It was only two days ago that a Michigan judge determined the Kennedy must remain on the November ballot, which would have potentially aided Vice President Kamala Harris' bid for the White House, which is the very candidate Kenendy is hoping to see defeated.

Benson taunted former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, saying "Hi @RudyGiuliani
I know you're no longer a licensed attorney because you made several 'demonstrably false and misleading statements' about the 2020 election, so allow me to clarify Michigan law for you. MCL 168.686a(4): Candidates who are nominated and accept a minor party's nomination 'shall not be permitted to withdraw.'"

This was after Giuliani slammed Benson as "corrupt" and "engaging in election interference by keeping RFK Jr.'s name on the ballot. This is just one of many examples of what they're doing to keep Trump out of the White House..."

Michigan is one the key states that both Republican contender Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have been fighting over, as it could go for either of them. A North Carolina court also put a pause on sending out ballots, saying that they should not be sent with Kennedy's name on them.
