UPDATE: The man who jumped from a fourth-floor balcony to flee detention has been captured. FBI director Kash Patel wrote in a post on Thursday evening: "After today’s interagency press conference announcing 15 public healthcare fraud indictments in Minnesota, the below subject who was on the run - Muhammad Omar - has now been arrested.

"He is charged with healthcare fraud (18 U.S.C. § 1349, 18 U.S.C. § 1347) involving a Housing Stabilization Services company - with fraudulent claims for services not provided and diverting the proceeds for personal benefit."

Federal authorities say a Minnesota fraud suspect remains at large after fleeing an arrest attempt by jumping from a fourth-floor balcony during a morning operation.

FBI Deputy Director Christopher Raia said during a press briefing on Thursday that the individual was a target in an ongoing fraud investigation and escaped immediately after agents moved in.

“Before I begin my crux of my remarks, I need your help," he told reporters."You will see a subject depicted on the screen here, of an individual who was a target of the investigation this morning. That individual is currently on the run after having jumped out of a fourth-story balcony. I want you to get a good look at him right now, you'll see him running here. He is currently on the run. We need your help."

He urged those who recognize the individual or have any information on the suspect to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or go to www.tips.fbi.gov. Video of the individual was displayed during the announcement as officials urged the public to assist in locating him. The suspect can be seen limping in the footage, likely as a consequence of damage taken upon landing.

The request for the public's health came during a press conference in which officials announced charges against 15 individuals in Minnesota. The cases involve seven state-managed Medicaid programs that were "systematically pilfered by fraudsters" who treated taxpayer funds as "their personal piggy bank," according to Colin McDonald, Assistant Attorney General for the DOJ's National Fraud Enforcement Division. The cases involved over $90 million in losses.
