The RCMP have said that the Nova Scotia gunman obtained his weapons illegally in a press conference of Thursday.
The Gunman killed 22 people in the small town of Portipique, Nova Scotia during a 13 hour rampage. The responding police officers eventually shot the gunman dead.
The gunman used five separate weapons and all of them obtained illegally. This may embarrass the prime minister, who pushed through a sweeping gun ban in response to this tragedy.
The police have said that three of the killer's guns were obtained in the United States; one from the estate of a deceased person; and one from Constable Heidi Stevenson who was shot dead by the gunman during the massacre.

The RCMP have continued to say that they do not know where the killer got his police uniform from. It was revealed, however, that the killer is related to two RCMP officers who became "estranged" from the killer.
The massacre happened in April of this year and it had been more than a month since the police last delivered a brief, according to CBC News.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
