Two people are confirmed dead after shots were fired at former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

The Associated Press reported, "Butler County district attorney Richard Goldinger said in a phone interview that the suspected gunman was dead and at least one rally attendee was killed."

The district attorney confirmed to the AP that one person who died is believed to have been "a rally attendee." Another video captured by an attendee showed law enforcement carrying a body out of the event, with blood stains visible on the bleachers. However, it is unknown at this time if the person in the video is the same individual referred to by the district attorney.

Trump was seen on video speaking to attendees at the rally when the shots were heard being fired. The presumptive GOP nominee was then seen reaching for his neck, where blood was visible, before being immediately rushed off stage by Secret Service agents.

Secret service confirmed the deaths of the shooter as well as the Trump rally attendee. In addition, two others were critically injured during the assassination attempt.

The statement read, "During former President Trump's campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on the evening of July 13th at approximately 6:15 p.m., a suspected shooter fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside of the rally venue. US Secret Service personnel neutralized the shooter, who is now deceased. US Secret Service quickly responded with protective measures and the former president is safe and being evaluated. One spectator was killed, two spectators were critically injured. The incident is currently under investigation and the Secret Service has formally notified the Federal Bureau of investigation."

Footage of an individual being carried out from the rally in the aftermath of the shooting was posted online.
