"I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery."
Elon Musk has publicly endorsed Donald Trump for president following an incident at a Pennsylvania rally where Trump appeared to have been shot at.
Musk shared a clip on X showing the moment when Secret Service agents surrounded Trump and escorted him off stage after shots were fired at the former president. In the video, Trump is heard telling the agents "wait" before raising his fist to the crowd and cameras, after which he is taken away by the Secret Service.
"I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery," Musk posted alongside the video.
Musk's endorsement comes amid reports that he recently donated a "sizable amount" to a Trump-supporting political action committee (PAC), despite stating earlier this year that he would not be contributing money to either presidential candidate.
