President Donald Trump will hold the rally in the South Bronx on May 23 at 6pm.
President Donald Trump is headed to the South Bronx for a rally on May 23.
The announcement comes as Trump recently held a record-breaking rally in New Jersey where nearly 100,000 peeople were in attendance, according to the city of Wildwood.
"President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will visit the Bronx, New York on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 6:00PM EDT to highlight the horrendous effects Crooked Joe Biden's disastrous presidency has had on our economy," the announcement read.
The event will be held at Crotona Park in South Bronx, New York, according to the registration form. The rally starts at 6pm and the doors will open up three hours beforehand.
Several weeks ago, while in Harlem, Trump spoke about making a "big play" for the Empire State.
"We're making a big play for New York. I love this city, and it's gotten so bad in the last three years, four years, and we're going to straighten New York out," he told reporters. The comments from Trump as well as the rally in the South Bronx are reversal of common knowledge when it comes to the general presidential election in the deep blue state.
The last time New York voted in favor of a Republican for the presidency was in 1984 with the election of Ronald Reagan.
