Trump has confirmed he will make his VP choice on Monday.
Brett Bair reported that Trump confirmed he would be making a "VP choice" today on Fox News.
Speculation surrounding who will be the pick for his running mate has swirled online and in media reports leading up to the convention in Wisconsin. Some have floated the idea of Vivek Ramaswamy, Senator JD Vance, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.
The Trump camp previously said that he would be making his VP pick announcement by July 15.
"By this time next Monday, we will know who President Trump has selected as his running mate for the 2024 election," Trump advisor Jason Miller told Fox & Friends earlier in July. "It could happen any time this week. Could happen literally right up until the first day of the convention.”
Miller also commented on the vice-presidential debate with Trump's pick for the position, wondering if it will be against VP Kamala Harris or someone else. "I look ahead as a campaign strategist to what does that vice presidential debate look like," Miller said at the time. "We don't know if that's going to be Kamala, or maybe they swap her out for someone who's even more liberal, more extreme, although that might be tough to do."
Although it is unclear if Trump will make the announcement during a speech at the RNC speakers for the event have been announced, including Tucker Carlson, Vivek Ramaswamy, businessman David Sacks, and Teamsters union President Sean O’Brien.
