BREAKING: Psaki says vaccine mandates are for Americans, not illegal immigrants at the southern border

"The requirement for people at a business with more than 100 people and it's not a requirement for migrants at the southern border. Why?" Doocy asked.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki addressed the administration's new vaccine mandate on Friday, saying unequivocally that the mandate is for Americans only, and not for illegal immigrants at the US-Mexico border.

"Why is it that you're trying to require anybody with a job or anybody who goes to school to get the COVID-19 vaccine," Fox News' Peter Doocy asked, "but you're not requiring that of migrants to continue walking across the southern border into the country?"

"Well, look, our objective is to get as many people vaccinated across the country as humanly possible. And so the President's announcement yesterday was an effort to empower businesses to give businesses the tools to protect their workforces. That's exactly what we did," Psaki said.

"But certainly we want everybody to get vaccinated and the more people are vaccinated, whether they are migrants or whether they are workers, protects more people in the United States," she went on.

"The requirement for people at a business with more than 100 people and it's not a requirement for migrants at the southern border. Why?" Doocy asked.

"That's correct," Psaki said, abruptly moving on and calling on another reporter.

On Thursday, President Joe Biden laid out the administration's plan to require employers who have more than 100 workers to compel them to get vaccinated or face fines.

After Biden demanded that most Americans be compelled by their employers to either submit to vaccination or face losing their job, leftist hosts in establishment media applauded the move, and slammed anyone who disagreed with the compelled medical treatment.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
