With moments to go before the first presidential debate of the general election season kicked off, streaming platform Rumble went down. President Joe Biden was set to take the stage against challenger and political enemy President Donald Trump, but Rumble wasn't able to accommodate viewers and streamers.

The debate was streaming live on CNN and Fox, but CNN has warned streamers on YouTube not to stream the proceedings. CNN, which was agreed upon as the first debate host, had severe rules that the Biden administration asked for.

Rumble is a competitor to YouTube, where the debate is being streamed by CNN live. There are many streamers on the platform who rely on it to get their programs out to viewers. As the debate got underway, the platform still was not up.

The site was back up shortly about shortly after the debate began.
