"We're going to make this country so successful again, I'm not gonna have time for retribution."
GOP frontrunner former President Donald Trump told Americans "our ultimate retribution is success." He made the comments during an Iowa townhall with Bret Baier and Martha Maccallum on Fox News in the lead-up to the Iowa caucus.
"Mr. President," Baier said, "you're talking a lot about policy, you get questions about what a second term is going to look like. When you're at your rallies, you spend a lot of time talking about retribution. And so there are questions about how much a second term of a Donald Trump presidency would be about retribution and looking backwards and grievances and how much would be looking forward?"

"If you put me back in the White House, their rein is over, their rein will be open. And they know it. And America will be a free nation once again, we're not a free nation right now. We don't have free press. We don't have free anything," he said.
"In 2016 I declared, I am your voice.
"Today I add: I am your warrior. I am your justice. And for those who have been wronged and betrayed I am your retribution. I am your retribution.
I will fire the unelected bureaucrats and shadow forces who have weaponized our justice system like it has never been weaponized before sick. These are sick people. And I will put the people back in charge of this country again the people will be back in charge of our country. stration is the
Trump was criticized by the corporate press for using this term retribution, but for supporters who have seen first hand the political prosecution of J6 defendants, the weaponization of government against citizens, the prosecution by the Biden administration of his top political opponent Donald Trump, Trump was the fighter who would defend them against the government forces that restricted freedoms of law abiding citizens while upholding freedom for criminals.
