Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is expected to make a surprise appearance at the National Association of Secretaries of State in Washington, DC on Friday. This comes after the FBI raided Fulton County, Georgia’s election center earlier in the week, at which Gabbard was present.

According to Axios, Gabbard, as well as Attorney General Pam Bondi and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, were added to the conference’s schedule last minute with a 45-minute slot at 3 pm. A source said that Bondi no longer plans to attend, while another source familiar with the matter said it was possible that only Gabbard will be in attendance.

During the FBI search in Fulton County on Wednesday, a US official familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal that the warrant authorized agents to seek ballots, 2025 voters rolls, ballot images, and tabulator tapes. The warrant reportedly said that the documents were being sought as part of an investigation into potential violations of federal law against destroying election records, as well as another statute that deals with the submission of fraudulent votes.

Speaking with reporters at the premiere of First Lady Melania Trump’s film Melania on Thursday night, Trump said of Gabbard’s appearance at the election center, "She's working very hard on trying to keep the election safe. And she's done a very good job." He added, "And they, as you know, they got into the votes, you got a signed judge's order in Georgia. And you're going to see some interesting things happening. They've been trying to get there for a long time."

A DNI spokesperson told Fox News, "Director Gabbard recognizes that election security is essential for the integrity of our republic and our nation’s security. As DNI, she has a vital role in identifying vulnerabilities in our critical infrastructure and protecting against exploitation. We know through intelligence and public reporting that electronic voting systems have been and are vulnerable to exploitation. President Trump’s directive to secure our elections was clear, and DNI Gabbard has and will continue to take actions within her authorities, alongside our interagency partners, to support ensuring the integrity of our elections."
