A woman reportedly entered the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago carrying a rifle on Wednesday afternoon. Officers were quickly dispatched to the 27th floor of the skyscraper.

According to police radio communications, the woman indicated that she had gone to the hotel because she was “tired of being abused by her husband,” suggesting that the incident was domestic-related, reports Chicago Sun-Times,

"About 11:25 am, the woman was brandishing a rifle when she entered the building at 401 N. Wabash Ave., according to two law enforcement sources. The incident was thought to be domestic in nature and wasn’t immediately linked to terrorism," the outlet wrote.

Video from outside the tower shows a SWAT team entering shortly after calls reporting the woman were made.

The incident comes just one day after former President Donald Trump was arraigned on charges in New York, stemming from alleged payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels prior to his 2016 presidential run.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
