The Breakfast Club host, Charlamagne tha God, discussed the results of the 2024 presidential election during an interview with ABC News’ Jon Karl and was shocked to learn the significant inroads the GOP made among non-white voters.

Karl began asking Charlamagne, “What do you make of the demographics here? I mean, Trump got one out of every three voters of color.” The radio host looked surprised and said, “No,” then asked “Really?”

Karl then reiterated that exit polls showed Trump winning one out of every three voters of color.

"When you say color, you mean like, Black, brown, everything? Oh. Well, I think that, you know, people have different issues that they care about,” Charlamagne responded. “And I think that there’s nobody out there that’s a single-issue voter. I think some of this is a backlash to race and gender and identity politics. But, man, most people, they just care about keeping food on the table and keeping a roof over their head.”

"And I think sometimes people forget about that. I think that they forget about, you know, the working class. For whatever reason, Donald Trump speaks to the grievances of the working class in a real way. And I keep telling folks, people forget what you did there, forget what you said, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel," he added.

With Trump on the ticket once again, the Republican Party made major inroads among non-white demographics this election. ABC’s exit polling data underscored Trump's gains, reporting that he secured 33 percent of the non-white vote, including 46 percent of hispanic voters, 39 percent of Asian voters, and 13 percent of black voters. Notably, Trump won Latino men by a 12-point margin and captured 21 percent of black male voters, a considerable swing compared to past elections.

Earlier this week, Charlamagne also commented on the Democratic Party’s attempts to frame Trump as a “fascist” and “threat to democracy” before quickly shifting rhetoric after his victory, leading him to question the sincerity of their messaging. “It just makes you wonder how much of it did they really believe, or how much of it was just politics,” he asked.
