A 21-year-old Chipotle employee was shot in the leg by a customer on Friday after an argument over guacamole at the chain's Southfield, Michigan, location on Evergreen Road.

In a 40-second video of the incident posted on X, a man was seen arguing with a female employee before they moved out of sight. A woman is then heard screaming before a gunshot goes off.

According to Police, the suspect is a 31-year-old man from Detroit who was apprehended after the incident.

The customer who recorded the incident, Michael Beales, told Fox 2, "It was loud, and then we all just ran out."

"I wasn’t really thinking there was going to be a shot, but there was," he added.

"He took his time getting out. Probably 30 seconds after (the shot was fired)," Beales continued. "I was in my car and I saw him just walk out to his car, close the door, and just drive off – he didn’t speed off or anything, it was weird to see."

Another witness, Thomas Huber, told the outlet, "I was just eating a bowl and I heard shouting. And then I looked over, they're arguing." He added, "One of the workers went to the back, I don't know why, and then when he was in the back, the customer walked around the counter, tried to grab his food and put it in a bag."

"Then the employee came back, and they started fighting, and then we heard a gunshot and just ran out as quick as we could," Huber explained.

Police said the victim was transported to the hospital where he is currently in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.

Hmmm....no description of the perp. And it's Detroit. I'm gonna guess the demographics.
