The document from Cornell Health encourages sex as “a fun way to wake up in the morning” or “a terrific study break.”
Cornell Health at Cornell University promotes libertine sexual practices for students. The university is now at the center of a scandal that has swept the nation after an anonymous student claims she was gang raped in September 2024. New York Governor Kathy Hochul has spoken out in favor of the former student, who is listed in her suit as Jane Doe, and appointed Attorney General Letitia James to prosectute, who has also spoken out in favor of Jane Doe.
She has sued the school and the seven men she claims took part. The say the sexual acts were consensual. Protests have popped off at Cornell with many women saying "we are Jane Doe" to indicate that they feel they have been sexually assaulted.

View on XThe documents from Cornell Health, however, show that the university encourages students to take a cavalier approach to sex and sex partners. Students are directed to think of sex as an act solely dedicated to pleasure for which the only boundary is whether or not the parties involved agree on how to proceed. The students involved in the sexual incident at the fraternity in September 2024 appear to have been exploring their sexuality and seeking pleasure as instructed.
On Cornell Health, students are provided a document called "Sexual Pleasure" Finding the 'Sweet Spot'," which details the practice of consent and what makes sex a good thing to engage in. "Sexual pleasure is a worthy pursuit," it begins. "And, just like consent, pleasure is something you should be able to expect in any sexual encounter with another person."
The article goes on to say that sex releases hormones that make a person feel good and that this makes sex "a great sex buster." The document from Cornell Health encourages sex as "a fun way to wake up in the morning" or "a terrific study break."
In preparation for sex, Cornell Health encourages students to know their "turn-ons" and "turn offs" and to "explore" their sexual fantasies while they're alone to see "what arouses" them." The health center encourages students to masturbate to "get to know your body" before they "utilize foreplay."
When it comes to sex with others, "trust and communication" are encouraged and the document states that "consent is an ongoing conversation whether you are hooking up with someone for the first time or in a committed relationship." Cornell Health encourages conversation during sexual activity so that students can let each other know what they prefer.
"Talk about your sexual likes and dislikes and ask your partner about theirs," Cornell Health states, going on to say that bodies are "wired to give and receive pleasure." For Cornell Health, the purpose of sex is entirely rooted in pleasure and has no other purpose.
They also encourage students to look at pornography and to use sex toys for use either alone or with a partner. "Explore the wide range of toys available and see what piques your interests or take a sexy shopping trip with your partner(s)."
"Exposure to and use of pornography is totally normal," Cornell Health states. "Whether you choose to use porn for individual pleasure or with a partner, lean how much and how comfortable you are engaging with porn." Cornell Health also suggests "ethical porn," saying that this "means that the performers are given fair compensation and are given choice in the sex they'd like to engage in and with whom."
In another document on Cornell Health available to students, called "Breaking it Down," the school promotes "Yes, No, Maybe So: A Sexual Inventory Stocklist." This is a massive sex tester list about preferences, fantasies, wants, desires, and icks. It includes things like group sex, submission and domination, cybersex, pain, cross-dressing, abortion, and other behaviors. It also suggests that sex is good for reducing headaches.
Another section breaks down what students should ask themselves when considering the question "How do we make sexual decisions that are right for us?" Those recommended questions are: "Do I want to have sex? What kind of sex do I want to have? Who do I want to have sex with? Who am I attracted to?
"How comfortable am I talking about sex with my partner or potential partners? Do I want to be in a relationship before I have sex? What kinds of safety measures do I want to take? What kinds of birth control and protection against STIs might be right for me? Who do I feel comfortable going to for advice or to bounce ideas off of?"
Health resources recommended include Planned Parenthood, LGBT Resource Center, Gutmacher Institute, and other leftist groups. Cornell Health also promotes The Genderbread Person and The Gender Unicorn, which are all about transgender ideology and so-called affirmation.
