"Why, yes I DID kiss the sneakers of [Jasmine Crockett] and I DO worship the ground she walks on!"
"Why, yes I DID kiss the sneakers of [Jasmine Crockett] and I DO worship the ground she walks on! And she was LOVELY about it," the Stephanie Miller Show host wrote, posting photos of herself bending down to kiss Crockett’s shoes, and then Crockett bending down to hug Miller.
Per the New York Post, the incident occurred at an event celebrating California’s passage of Proposition 50, which temporarily suspends the state’s independent redistricting commission and hands redistricting authority to the Democrat-controlled legislature. The move could create up to five new Democratic-leaning congressional districts.
In a video Miller posted, she asked Crockett, "Jasmine, can you confirm that I just kissed your sneakers?" The room broke into a fit of laughter.
Crockett replied, "This is true."
Miller said, "Future senator of the great state of Texas." Crockett has previously said that it would be "karma" if she were to lose her House seat due to redistricting efforts in Texas, but win a seat in the Senate.
The move was widely criticized on social medial, with Matt Walsh writing, "A white liberal woman literally crawling on her knees to kiss the feet of a semi-literate black DEI congresswoman is perhaps the perfect encapsulation of modern leftism. There will never be another image as utterly and grotesquely perfect as this."
Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec wrote, "The Left: 'MAGA is a cult! No Kings!’ Also the Left:”
The Republican National Committee’s RNC Research account replied with a meme of a young boy giving a side eye look.
