Elections Canada's website now features their revised rules for voting in this upcoming snap election, with emphasis on how to vote in advance.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau officially dropped the writ on Sunday, and federal elections in Canada will now take place on Sept. 20 2021.

This comes as no surprise, as rumors beforehand regarding the extremely early election call have simply now been confirmed.

The Elections Canada explanation of the new rules opens up with:

"To vote, you must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years old on election day and prove your identity and address. Your health and safety is our priority—measures are in place to keep you safe, no matter how you choose to vote."

"Plan early. During a pandemic, things can take a bit more time. Make a plan and choose the voting option that works best for you. You can vote almost any time."

It then goes on to explain different ways to vote in four different categories: On election day, on advance polling days, by mail, and at any Elections Canada office.

Citizens will have the option to vote at their assigned polling stations from Friday Sept. 10 through Monday Sept. 13 from 9am to 9 pm. They can also apply to vote by mail if they so which, which must be done before 6 pm on Tuesday Sept. 14. Likewise, Elections Canada offices will allow for voting before Sept. 14 at 6 pm.
