Tesla, Space X and Twitter CEO Elon Musk warned attendees at the World Government Summit on Wednesday of the dangers of a one-world government.

During a video apperance, Musk told the audience at the Dubai-based event that there are serious concerns around a single world government that need addressing.

"I know this is called the World Government Summit, but I think we should be maybe a little bit concerned about actually becoming too much of a single world government," he said.

"We want to avoid creating a civilizational risk by having, frankly — this may sound a little odd — too much cooperation between governments."

Elon explained that, throughout history, different civilizations were allowed to rise and fall and did so precisely because they were not all connected at the hip to one another.

"While Rome was falling, Islam was rising," he said, noting that a completely connected world government could face extreme hardship from a single catastrophy that has global consequenecs.

"Seemed like the right venue," Musk would tweet shortly after his appearance.
