"We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service."
Dr. Lindsay announced Eventbrite's decision to pull his event titled "Save Our Kids" from their platform on X saying, "LOL the event is called "Save Our Kids," and Eventbrite said it's "Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content."
The email sent by Eventbrite's Trust and Safety team states: "Hello. We're reaching out regarding your event listing, Dr. James Lindsay - Save Our Kids (Edmonton Event). We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, specifically our policy on Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content and Events."
"As a result, your event has been unpublished. Please be aware that severe or repeated violations of our guidelines may result in the suspension or termination of your Eventbrite account," they added.
The "Save Our Kids" event will feature a discussion from Dr. Lindsay about the issues of gender ideology in classrooms affecting children and the dangers of critical theory.
Dr. Lindsay, the author of the book "Cynical Theories: How Activist Scholarship Made Everything about Race, Gender, and Identity―and Why This Harms Everybody," slammed Eventbrite in a statement to The Post Millennial saying, "I should thank Eventbrite for the advertising."
"These acts of attempted censorship won't prevent the event, will attract attention, and will encourage me to be even more plain in my speech so that Canadians can hear truths these companies and their government don't want them to hear," Lindsay told TPM.
This is not the first time Eventbrite has canceled politically conservative-leaning events.
In January, Eventbrite canceled an event that featured members of the LGBTQ+ community speaking out against "the insidious ideology infecting your children's education." TPM writer Sara Higdon, a trans-identified male who speaks out against the radical trans agenda being imposed on kids, was slated to speak at that event.
In addition, the ticketing company canceled a women's free speech event in Austin, Texas in July amid backlash from transgender activists.
