"Get a grip. I have a different opinion. It’s this kind of attitude that red-pilled me."
A gay adult film performer with a significant online following is facing backlash after expressing support for Donald Trump and speaking out against gender transitioning for children.
The 35-year-old performer from Palm Springs, CA, who goes by the name Devin Franco, has been active in the adult film industry since 2017 and has nearly half a million followers on X, according to Pink News. In recent days, Franco has become a target for criticism after engaging in political discourse during the week of the election where he voiced support for Trump.
In response to a post by a gay man who identified as a lifelong Democrat but rejected the party due to its "war-hungry censorship machine" and divisive identity politics, Franco replied, “100% agree!” His public support for Trump spurred further comments from users including his fans.
One fan remarked, “You were genuinely one of my favs so this feels like an actual betrayal,” to which Franco responded, “Well, that’s delusional because you don’t even know me. Get a grip. I have a different opinion. It’s this kind of attitude that red-pilled me.”
He has even been receiving threatening responses from X users, with one writing "We also have your address Jesse Morris. Better watch yourself. Would be a shame if something happened."
Franco's reasons for voting for Trump include being "tired of the censorship, cancel culture, and manipulative emotional coercion of the left," he said. As to the backlash, he said "Now the [Democrat] machine has turned on me, all because we have a different opinion than they do."
Franco also addressed criticisms linking Trump to Project 2025, which is claimed to have plans to ban pornography. Franco dismissed the claim, stating, “If you think Project 2025 is real, you’re retarded.”
In addition to his political views, Franco voiced opposition to gender transitioning for minors while supporting adults' rights to make their own decisions. He further commented on the issue of transgender-identifying biological men competing in women’s sports, stating, “Get Y chromosomes out of women’s sports.”
Franco further criticized outlets for publishing his real name in articles about the controversy. He accused them of “purposefully trying to cause me real harm in doing so” because he has a “different opinion.”
“The gays are so full of hate these days it’s all they see in everyone else,” Franco added. His support for Trump has threatened his livelihood, too. "People are being told not to work with me and if they do they will probably get treated the same way," he said. "But I will always stand my ground for what I believe in even if that costs me my job."
Franco provided an exclusive comment to The Post Millennial: "I was tired of the censorship, cancel culture, and manipulative emotional coercion of the left. Now the [Democrat] machine has turned on me, all because we have a different opinion than they do," he said. "I knew there would be some blowback, and I thought I would mostly just get mean comments. People are being told not to work with me and if they do they will probably get treated the same way. But I will always stand my ground for what I believe in even if that costs me my job. I’m not worried about how I’m gonna make money, I’m a smart guy. But the direction this country was going was scaring me."
