On Wednesday, one of Jeffrey Epstein's alleged victims took the stand and testified that Ghislaine Maxwell watched and on occasion partook in sexual acts with victims alongside infamous financier.
The woman, going by the pseudonym Jane and now in her 40's, testified on Wednesday in the sex abuse trial of Maxwell, according to Reuters.
She testified that Maxwell and Epstein approached her for the first time while she attended summer camp at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan in 1994.
She said her family was struggling at the time financially after the death of her father the year prior. Jane, a singer, said that Epstein and Maxwell told her they were benefactors of the camp and awarded student scholarships.
Jane said that the two remained in touch with her after she returned home to Palm Beach, Florida, where Epstein also owned a home.
She testified that Maxwell on occasion would take her to the movies, or would spend time with her at his pool, asking questions about her schoolwork, or whether she had a boyfriend.
Prosecutors stated in the 2021 indictment against Maxwell that buying girls gifts or talking about sexual topics constituted "grooming" behaviors.
Jane said the first sexual encounter with Epstein occurred when she was 14, at his pool at his Palm Beach home.
"He pulled me on top of himself and proceeded to masturbate on me," Jane said. "I was terrified and felt gross and I felt ashamed."
Jane also testified that Maxwell and Epstein would take her to a massage table at Epstein's Palm Beach home and teach her how Epstein likes to be massaged, which transitioned into sexual activity.
Jane said during these massage sessions that Maxwell sometimes touched her breasts.
She reportedly described Maxwell's demeanor as "very casual" during these interactions.
On another occasion, Jane said Maxwell and Epstein brought her into Epstein's bedroom, where they moved Jane to the bed, took their clothes off, and told Jane to take her top off, according to The Daily Wire.
The two reportedly began to "fondle each other" while "casually giggling," and Epstein masturbated.
Maxwell and Epstein also reportedly held group "orgies," where Jane said she was involved with other people in "full-on intercourse."
Maxwell was charged with six counts of enticing minors and sex trafficking. The charges involve four minors, with instances of abuse allegedly taking place across the globe. If found guilty, Maxwell could face up to 80 years behind bars.
