The 78 annual Golden Globes Awards Show tanked Sunday night as preliminary ratings fell 68 percent compared to last year's celebration, the worst decline on record.

Sunday night, the show's co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler slammed the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) for lack of diversity, after the press association faced criticism in the weeks leading up to the Golden Globes for failure to have black representation on their voting roster.

The co-hosts took aim at HFPA but failed to mention political controversies like they have in years past, including the current sexual harassment allegations against Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY). In wake of the 'Me Too' Movement, both co-hosts had nothing to say about the women accusing Gov. Cuomo of sexual harassment, when both were advocates for women who faced sexual trauma in the past but were too afraid to come forward.

According to Show Buzz Daily, the Golden Globes ratings were a disaster. "There are no two ways about it–these GOLDEN GLOBES numbers were disastrous."

"The 1.2 preliminary rating is down about 68 percent from the 2020 early number, and even if the final rating rises to 1.6 or so, it will be similarly down compared to last year’s final 4.7," said Show Buzz Daily. The awards show peaked with an average of 6.057 million viewers Sunday night on NBC.

Data indicates that 'American Idol' and '60 Minutes' received better ratings than the celebrity packed awards show.
