It has been revealed that the Department of Justice is preparing to bring those who have accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of various crimes before a federal grand jury to hear their testimonies, signaling that the DOJ is planning on seeking an indictment.

Combs has been listed as a defendant in eight lawsuits since November of last year, all but one of which claim that he sexually assaulted the plaintiffs. Only one, which was filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, has been settled.

One source familiar with the matter told CNN that potential witnesses have been informed by federal investigators that they may soon be asked to testify before a grand jury in New York City about their respective interactions with the rapper and founder of Bad Boy Records.

Another confirmed that while the witnesses have been notified, investigators have not yet begun preparing them for their testimonies. The sources explained that the Homeland Security Investigations agency is still gathering evidence and interrogating anyone with information about the incidents in question, and that they want to make sure the case against Combs is "bulletproof" before it proceeds to the indictment stage.

In March, Combs' Los Angeles and Miami homes were raided by feds over allegations that he had engaged in sex trafficking. Douglas H. Wigdor, the lawyer for one of his accusers, said the rapper and two others "preyed on a vulnerable high school teenager as part of a sex trafficking scheme that involved plying her with drugs and alcohol and transporting her by private jet to New York City where she was gang raped by the three individual defendants at Mr. Combs’ studio."

Those who have leveled allegations against Combs include multiple women and even producer Rodney Jones Jr, who claimed that he had mistreated them.
