"We hate that he won. We hate it. And everyone’s uptight and crazy right now.”
“We lost the election. We’re miserable. Half of this country is miserable. And let’s just tell the truth: We hate that he won. We hate it. And everyone’s uptight and crazy right now.”
President-elect Donald Trump’s stunning victory on Nov. 5 has continued to bother the panelists on the talk show in the days following the outcome.
Host Sunny Hostin deleted her X account following the election because she felt it was “the most patriotic thing” she could do after Trump’s electoral win. The host did so in reaction to Elon Musk’s connection with Trump’s campaign. The tech CEO selected by the president-elect as co-director of the new Department of Government Efficiency.
Hostin faced heavy backlash on the platform over some of her previously comments for saying that “uneducated white women” voted for Trump, and appeared to not have a good time of it afterwards on the platform.
Additionally, host Whoopi Goldberg recently agreed with a Yale psychiatrist who said Americans angered from Trump’s victory should not join family members over Thanksgiving if they voted for Trump. “It might not be the time to gather,” Goldberg said last week.
Speaking hypothetically she said, “I don't want to put my gay child in a position where she has to sit with someone who doesn't understand her ... Yeah, you know, there are certain things where you don't have to put your family in the middle of it. You can have dinner at another point, but it might not be the time to gather, because, you know, there's going to be some tension. That's what I'm saying. But I'm not tense. My daughter's not gay."
Amid Trump’s victory, however, ABC is reportedly pressuring The View to hire on some pro-Trump talent, as each of the hosts backed Harris for the presidency.
