Law enforcement received a report of a woman "bleeding heavily," and when they responded the victim told police she had let the man in. The victim’s identity is being withheld, but she told first responders that after the suspect slashed her neck, he fled.

The woman told investigators she let the man, who she and authorities described as homeless, into her home to use the shower. The suspect was later identified by police as 30-year-old Eric Jones.
