On Saturday, thousands of protesters gathered in New York City to oppose President-elect Donald Trump's electoral victory and the policies he plans to implement, particularly the deportation of migrants who are illegally in the country.

The demonstration, part of the organized Protect Our Future March, drew a large crowd of people marching through city streets with a banner reading “We Won’t Back Down.” Many participants chanted “Donald Trump has got to go” while wearing blue and yellow and carrying signs proclaiming, “New Yorkers Stand Together.” Crowds were heard labeling Trump as a “fascist,” and some were even seen holding signs that read “socialism beats fascism.”

Among the marchers were illegal migrants from Ecuador and Peru, who held a sign declaring, “No to the anti-immigrant laws, no to deportations,” video from TPUSA’s Frontlines showed. This comes as Trump has repeatedly said that if elected he would carry out a mass deportation program to remove individuals who are in the US illegally.

The protest drew counter-demonstrators in support of Trump, who shouted slogans such as “Mass deportations” at the marchers. Trump supporters, waving American flags, also chanted “USA” as protesters continued to march down the streets. One Hispanic Trump supporter confronted the group of illegal immigrants marching against deportations, telling them that the country needs to “close the border.”

President-elect Trump has stated multiple times on the campaign trail that he would seek to close the border and tighten restrictions on illegal immigration in his second term. He has also pledged to undergo mass deportations of illegal migrants in the country, a policy that a majority of Americans have expressed support for.

So sad, too bad. Your problem is a large majority of U.S. legal Citizens disagree with you and back President Trump.

Dean

Oh, the irony. Illegals broke the law. Now they are protesting the law is going to be enforced.
