An infant girl of only two months of age is clinging to life in a Fort Worth hospital after she was found unconscious in a residence in San Angelo, Tex. in a horrendous case of child abuse. She has tested positive for heroin.

The infant was originally taken to Shannon Medical Centre, where staff found injection marks on her extremities and even on her head. At that point, she was taken to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Tex. where some of the more advanced medical facilities in the state were available. The infant is still on life-support as of this writing.

According to local outlet KHOU-11, police have been investigating the incident and its surrounding circumstances. They have found out so far that the baby girl was born in to Destiny Harbour, 21, in August, and has not received any official medical care whatsoever since her birth.

Harbour's mother Christin Bradley, 37, and Dustin Smock, Bradley's boyfriend, 34, all lived with the child and shared in the duties of "caring" for the baby.

Police stated that in the course of executing a search warrant on the residence, located on the 2200 block of Webster Avenue in San Angelo, they found drugs including methamphetamines, marijuana, various pills, and what they suspected to be heroin.

All three adults are facing felony charges of seriously bodily injury to a child, with the possibility of additional charges being laid in the future.
