“I don’t care what they call me. I just wish they would stop screwing up the country."
Vice presidential candidate JD Vance has responded to the Democratic strategy of portraying him as “weird” by pointing to the radical policies of the left regarding sex changes for minors and allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports, both of which rest on the lie that a person can actually change their sex.
In an appearance on Fox News on Sunday morning, Vance was asked about Democrat efforts to label him as “weird” to the American public. Vance laughed off the characterization, calling it “projection” from “people who want to give transgender hormones to 9-year-old kids and want biological males to play in women's sports.”
“They can call me whatever they want to. The middle school taunts don’t bother me,” he said. “What bothers me and what offends me is what Kamala Harris has done to this country over three and a half years.”
Vance went on to criticize Harris's performance as border czar, where she has overseen an unprecedented number of illegal immigrants entering the country. He also blamed her for voting in favor of policies that exacerbated inflation and worsened the housing market.
“I don’t care what they call me. I just wish they would stop screwing up the country,” Vance added.
Vance conveyed this same sentiment during his appearance on the Full Send Podcast earlier this week. There, he pointed out that the people calling him weird are the same ones who “want to give hormone therapies and sterilize nine-year-olds.”
Vance posted a clip of his remarks from the podcast with the caption, “I think it's pretty weird for adults to sterilize little kids by giving them hormone therapy. I know Kamala Harris disagrees with me on this and considers it to be totally ‘normal.’”
