Taylor Swift is on a wish list of endorsements that aides of President Joe Biden have drafted up.

According to a report from the New York Times, as the 2024 election rolls around, Biden aides have been drafting up plans to receive potentially big endorsements for the incumbent president.

One of the largest names on this wish list from the aides is celebrity singer Taylor Swift, according to the outlet. She is the biggest and most influential target for the Biden team to clinch for an endorsement in the race.

One of Biden's largest surrogates, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, has signaled that she should become involved in the race back in September 2023. "What she was able to accomplish just in getting young people activated to consider that they have a voice and that they should have a choice in the next election, I think, is profoundly powerful," Newsom stated.

According to the Times, mounting pressure and other factors surrounding the proposed endorsement online have become so large that the Biden team told applicants in a job posting for social media to describe their strategy to get the endorsement from Swift.

One idea that has been brought up is to have Biden make a stop on Swift's Eras Tour, according to the report. The widely popular tour is set to make another series of stops in the US in the fall.

Many conservative influencers have proposed the idea that Swift has been part of a strategy to get Biden reelected in 2024. Jack Posobiec wrote a post on X that went viral in December when Swift was announced as Time Person of the Year.

"The Taylor Swift girlboss psyop has been fully activated. From her hand-selected vaccine shill boyfriend to her DINK lifestyle to her upcoming 2024 voter operation for Democrats on abortion rights," Posobiec wrote.

Outlets up to and including Forbes have cast aspersions at the idea that Swift would be someone to sway public opinion in the race as recent as early January.
