Michigan man doxxed after highlighting growing Muslim population in his neighborhood

A Michigan man was doxxed after speaking publicly about the growing Muslim population in his neighborhood. The town of Warren, Michigan, has seen a large increase in Muslims over the past decade.

Justin Tye, 57, recently discussed the changes in his community with Fox News, describing the influx of Muslim immigrants into his community. Since then, he has received hate mail at his home, with one package addressed to "Justin Tye, Bigot at Large” and another that had stickers that said “F*ck Trump and F*ck you for voting for him” with feminine hygiene products.

"This is my home, this is where I was born and raised, this city, this state," Tye said.

Tye said he was not concerned about the backlash and said that speaking out was worth it.

"Some things are worth the trouble, and this is worth the trouble that could come from it," he said. "Being doxxed, I'm not afraid. I kind of figured this was gonna come with the territory.”

"I'm not gonna stop. I mean, you come here from another country and you disrespect the people who have lived in this neighborhood for decades, and in many cases like myself, there's several people I went to school with that bought their parents' homes and live back here," Tye continued.

He also explained that he is speaking out not just for him, but for his neighbors who have the same concerns.

"And that's what I've been hearing mainly is, 'finally a voice,'" he said. "These people here, these Muslims ... you need to respect the people, the Americans that are here. Stop disrespecting the people that lived here for decades."

"I'm getting a lot of support," Tye added. “Like I was out, I had to go do some shopping. I went to Meijer, I went to the bank, and then I stopped at a pizza place to get a pizza, and all three places I was stopped by people, asked if I was the Justin that was interviewed by Fox, and I said 'yes.' And the support I'm getting is incredible."

Tye and his neighbors detailed the changes in the town of Warren. He explained that roughly six years ago a mosque was purchased in the area. On one occasion, an Eid al-Fitr prayer service drew more than 100 people, with an imam using amplified speakers outside that Tye said was loud enough to wake up residents in the neighborhood.

Five new mosques have been built or are under construction within just seven miles of his home since then.

"Seems like every restaurant that closes up — American restaurant — there's a Muslim restaurant that opens up. I've seen four or five of them so far," a neighbor of Tye’s said.
