As the assault continued, people in the crowd could be heard telling others to stop and “let him up” after realizing “he’s one of us.”
Video from the scene shows the man being surrounded by a crowd of far-left activists, shoved, and knocked to the ground. As the assault continued, people in the crowd could be heard telling others to stop and “let him up” after realizing “he’s one of us.”
“I’m one of them!” the man shouted while pointing toward a nearby group of activists. He appeared visibly out of breath while attempting to catch his breath on the ground. Moments later, law enforcement officers who appeared to be sheriff’s deputies arrived in a van, dispersed the crowd, and checked on the man’s condition.
As deputies escorted him toward the vehicle, one individual in the crowd yelled, “Save your Nazi. Put him in your Nazi van!”
The incident was the latest in a series of violent episodes reported in Minneapolis over the weekend. In multiple instances, crowds were seen assaulting bystanders. In one case, a man wearing American flag-themed clothing was beaten and threatened, with attackers demanding that he remove his hoodie.
“Take it off and you won’t get hurt!” one activist shouted, according to video footage. The man was chased, pushed, and repeatedly accused of being a “Nazi.”
Also over the weekend, anti-Islam activist Jake Lang was attacked by a crowd while in Minneapolis for his “March Against Fraud” event. Video showed Lang bleeding after being dragged from a ledge and beaten by a mob of agitators. Lang later wrote on X that he was stabbed by “a crazie white commie leftist rioter,” but said his tactical vest blocked the attack.
