Corporate news outlet MSNBC is reportedly offering anchors Joy Reid as well as Stephanie Ruhle pay cuts in order for them to keep their positions as commentators as the broadcast outlet has had to cut costs.

The left-wing network, which recently cut Rachel Maddow's $30 million annual salary down to $25 million, has approached Reid as well as Ruhle about similar circumstances, per the New York Post. They have reportedly been negotiating their deals with the network as of late. As of now, Reid is reportedly making around $3 million a year with her salary from MSNBC in order to host her 8pm show.

Ruhle is making approximately $2 million a year in order to have her show, "The 11th Hour," at 11pm on weeknights. Both have been consistent critics of President-elect Donald Trump as well as Republicans in general. Additionally, a third host that was recently brought on "Morning Joe" has spoken to the network about a new contract, but MSNBC is only willing to give a reduced salary.

Reid, who has also recently left X over the election and Elon Musk's ownership of the company, has gotten to the point where she featured a psychiatrist that said it was appropriate to cut off family members for Thanksgiving over Trump's win. Reid, along with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on "Morning Joe" have had a huge drop in viewership since Trump won in November.

When the Post reached out for comment from MSNBC, the network said it would not comment on its staffing circumstances. The offers for Ruhle and Reid follow a drop in views as layoffs are looming over staffers as Comcast plans to spin off the outlet.
