MTG says Democrats are trying to cancel Fox, conservative media over Dominion lawsuit

"Removing the biggest conservative media companies off of mainstream television also removes conservative ideas, policies, and viewpoints."

On Saturday, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took to social media to call out out Dominion Voting Systems as they pursue defamation lawsuits against Fox News, OANN, and Newsmax instead of working to "earn back public trust" and prove their machines, which have been heavily used in US elections since 2020, are trustworthy despite ongoing reports of their malfunction.

"Democrats are organizing to cancel conservative media company Fox News while Dominion is suing Fox for $1.6 Billion. Dominion is also suing OANN, Newsmax, both of whom have been removed from AT&T/Direct TV, and they are suing many others for billions of dollars," the congresswoman tweeted.

"I wonder if Dominion will have to release its software in any of these lawsuits to show there was no manipulation of votes? You would think Dominion would be more than happy to prove their software and machines are trustworthy in order to earn back public trust," she added.

The congresswoman linked to a Politico article published Friday, titled, "Dems want to cut Fox off after lawsuit revelations."

According to Politico, "The thunderclap of stories showing Fox News' role in pushing 2020 election fraud conspiracies and aiding Donald Trump’s campaign has intensified calls among Democrats to black out the network."

The "thunderclap" of stories published since Friday include pieces by the Hill, NPR, CNN, the LA Times, and Forbes all reported on recent developments in the $1.6 billion defamation case, which is expected to go to trial on April 17. At the core of the lawsuit are claims from Dominion that reports of their machines malfunctioning, which could have contributed to voter fraud in past US elections, were defamatory.

Marjorie Taylor Greene noted "they are suing right wing press and others in order to silence them while Democrats are organizing and pushing to destroy Fox News, OANN, and Newsmax."

"Removing the biggest conservative media companies off of mainstream television also removes conservative ideas, policies, and viewpoints," she added.

According to Politico article, many on the Democratic side of the aisle have made calls for their party to cut ties entirely with Fox News in the wake of the lawsuit, and many view the network "as functionally a campaign arm for Republicans."

The Georgia congresswoman notes that left wing media has peddled conspiracy theories like "Russia collusion lies, covid Wet market origin lies, covid lockdown effectiveness lies, mask effectiveness lies, covid vaccine lies, and refuses to cover stories like Hunter Biden's laptop. Which is why it's ironic that Democrats are trying to blackout Fox News for 'broadcasting conspiracy theories' about the 2020 election."

The Russia collusion hoax, likelihood that Covid originated from a Wuhan lab, questionable effectiveness of Covid mandates from vaccines to lockdowns to masks, and revelations from Hunter Biden's laptop from hell have all come to light recently despite reports to the contrary pushed in establishment media.

"If the top three conservative media companies are off air or intimidated by lawsuits by voting machine companies, how will voters know both sides of the news? And will Republicans win in 2024 if Dominion and the Democrats defeat the big 3 conservative media companies while Big Tech continues to censor conservative views and stories on line? Perhaps that's the plan," Taylor Greene concluded.
