The Kamala Harris camp has said that she will be debating Donald Trump a second time in October, even though she has not agreed to doing the Fox News debate that Trump has proposed during September. Walz has also only agreed to debate Senator JD Vance once.

According to CBS News, Michael Tyler, the communications director for Harris' campaign, said that Harris has intentions to debate Trump on Sept. 10 on ABC News. The campaign said she would agree to one more debate sometime in October. This is without the Harris camp accepting the debate proposed by Trump on Fox News on Sept. 4.

CBS News proposed four dates for the VP debate on Wednesday between the two vice presidential nominees. Vance as well as Walz agreed to the Oct. 1 date for the debate. "See you on October 1, JD," Walz wrote in a post. Vance responded on Thursday, saying that he wanted to debate Walz on Oct. 1 as well as on Sept. 18 on broadcast network CNN.

"The American people deserve as many debates as possible, which is why President Trump has challenged Kamala to three of them already," Vance wrote on social media. "Not only do I accept the CBS debate on October 1st, I accept the CNN debate on September 18th as well. I look forward to seeing you at both!"

Tyler later said that Walz would only want to do the one debate with Vance on Oct. 1 and that Harris, despite not agreeing to the other debates proposed by Trump, wanted to do one in October instead. "The debate about debates is over. Donald Trump's campaign accepted our proposal for three debates - two presidential and a vice presidential debate."

"Assuming Donald Trump actually shows up on September 10 to debate Vice President Harris, then Governor Walz will see JD Vance on October 1 and the American people will have another opportunity to see the vice president and Donald Trump on the debate stage in October. Voters deserve to see the candidates for the highest office in the land share their competing visions for our future. The more they play games, the more insecure and unserious Trump and Vance reveal themselves to be to the American people," Tyler added in a statement, suggesting that no other debates will be agreed to by the Harris-Walz campaign.
