"Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life."
In a recent interview, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg called former President Donald Trump a “badass” following the assassination attempt that left Trump with a wound to his right ear. The incident occurred during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where iconic photos captured Trump holding his fist in the air and urging his supporters to “fight” immediately after being shot at.
Zuckerberg, who clarified that he has not endorsed any presidential candidate, commented on the event, saying, "Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life."
He continued by explaining that as an American, it’s hard to “not get kind of emotional about that and that fight." He also expressed a belief that these are the reasons why voters support Trump.
Zuckerberg, who has faced controversy in the previous elections for his company's actions, has stated that he plans to take a step back and be less involved in the current presidential race.
Meta, the parent company behind Facebook and Instagram, recently announced that it would be rolling back restrictions that were previously placed on Trump's accounts. The decision was made in an effort by the company to ensure that the presidential candidates would have a more equal playing field leading up to the general election.
