Second Lady Usha Vance and Vice President JD Vance are expecting their fourth child. The second lady announced her pregnancy on Tuesday.

"We're very excited to share the news that Usha is pregnant with our fourth child, a boy. Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July," a statement from the Vances read.

"During this exciting and hectic time, we are particularly grateful for the military doctors who take excellent care of our family and for the staff members who do so much to ensure that we can serve the country while enjoying a wonderful life with our children," she added.

Although there have been a couple presidents that have had children while in office, this is the first time that the second lady has been expecting a child. Frances Folsom Clevland, the wife of President Grover Cleavland, gave birth to Esther Cleveland in 1893 at the White House.

Additionally, Jackie Kennedy gave birth to her son Patrick while her husband, John F. Kennedy was president. However, he passed away just 39 hours later. The death of their second child came just months before Kennedy's assassination.

Vance has previously spoken about the blessing of having children in his life and has talked about policies that encourage families to have more children in the US. The couple has three other children: Ewan, 8, Vivek, 5, and their daughter, Mirabel, 4.

JD and Usha met while they were attending Yale, where the vice president said he was in love with her after their first date.
